High Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU)
HIFU, or high intensity focused ultrasound therapy, utilizes ultrasound energy to lift and tighten the skin by killing fat cells and stimulating collagen. HIFU therapy can be used on the face, double chin area, neck, as well as other parts of the body. Additionally, HIFU therapy has zero down time.
HIFU Procedure
Ultrasound gel is applied to either the face or the body. Using two handpieces, one for skin lifting and the other for skin tightening, ultrasound energy is applied to the target areas. The energy intensity can be adjusted for the patient’s comfort.
Possible Side Effects: Can include pain, blotchy skin, swelling, numbness, hyper-pigmentation, or absence of effect.
