The Micropen is a medical-grade pen that contains a very fine twelve-point head. By using the Micropen to create small, precise, dermal injuries to the skin, collagen production is stimulated resulting in smoother fine lines, softer acne scars, and general improvement of the skin’s texture, tone, and color. Micropenning can also be used in conjunction with PRP (platelet rich plasma) to give better results and shorten the healing time.
How it Works?
Topical numbing cream is applied to the face in order to ensure the comfort of our patients. After letting the numbing cream sit for about thirty minutes, the Micropenning process begins. After the initial redness goes away within two days, visible improvements will start to show after the next couple of weeks and will continue to improve up to six months after.
Possible Side Effects: Can include bleeding, buising, infection, peeling, swelling, discomfort at site, redness, flaking of skin, or dryness.
