A procedure known by many, liposuction is a procedure in which fat is removed from the body using very thin cannulas. There are many areas of the body in which fat can safely be removed including: hips, belly, thighs, buttocks, back, arms, and under the chin.
How is Works?
Depending on the area that is undergoing liposuction, local anesthetic will be administered to numb the areal that will help patients feel relaxed and comfortable throughout the procedure.
Next, the surgeon will inject a solution of saline and numbing medicine into the area which will help minimize bleeding
The surgeon will then insert a long metal instrument called a cannula under the skin which will vacuum out the fat.
Possible Side Effects: Can include: allergy to anesthesia, bruising, change in skin sensation, bruising, etc.
